Collage
The collage was our first Project of the year. The purpose of the project was to make a collage about things that represent us. We had the liberty to choose any materials we wants to use and how to make it. The first step for this project was selecting the items you were going to use, but there was a minimum of 3 different materials used. The things I found were: two pictures of me on my CISV (Children´s International Summer Villages) this summer with my new friends I made, this represents how much I like traveling and meeting new people; then, another picture of me skiing which is my favorite hobby; I also chose a chocolate wrapper which has two meanings, that I don’t really like chocolate, but that one is the only one I do enjoy eating; the card on the right top left has my favorite number, 3, and hearts because I’m a loving person J; last but not the least is the tag on the bottom left, represents how much I like shopping. Before I placed all the items chosen, I decided to decorate the white paper for it to look nicer, more creative, and colorful.
This was an easy project to do because I know myself and what I like, so it wasn’t hard for me to decide what I wanted to put on it. The only thing that was kind of hard was finding everything I wanted because before, my plan was to paste more and different things, but what I put is what I found, still representing myself. Another strength I had during this project was the writing section afterwards. I liked writing about my collage because I talked about me and it was straightforward what I wanted to say about everything I placed on it.

Drawing with Words
Our first semester exam was the one you see on the picture. The purpose of it was to draw anything with words. What needed to be done first was to print the picture chosen in big, and in another blank piece of paper copy the picture with soft pencil. After, with pen write anything you wanted inside the picture, making it take shape and look nice. Most people drew the face of a person, but I found more interesting to draw Mickey Mouse and with different colors. As you can see, the shoes and the tong are in red, and the rest in black. the materials used were: paper, pen, cardboard, and a window to copy the image.
I really enjoyed doing this project because we had the liberty to draw what we wanted and write inside anything also. Practice Grid Drawing
The goal of this project was to learn how to draw anything exactly the way it is. A good practice for this is dividing the picture in squares, and latter drawing the same squares, but bigger, in a different place; later, drawing everything that goes in each square. That is what we did. This was a practice for our canvas project, where we had to choose anyone famous and draw it on a canvas. The materials used were: any picture taken by a magazine, another paper (where you will draw the picture), pencil to draw, eraser to erase any mistakes (not everything comes out perfect on the first try), and colors to paint.
I actually did have some difficulty with this project. I not a very good drawer, so I had to erase many ties my mistakes and it did take me a long time to try to make it look the best I could. I tried to choose a picture with the least details possible, but there still had details hard to do. Like for example the letters on the bottom. The only easy part of this drawing was the painting. Although the project was hard, it did help me a lot for the bigger project which had the same purpose but on a canvas.
